Haha, Thanks!

Picture of my fireplace and walls/ceiling when we were first moving in and before I (and I mean me!) painted just about every surface......ugly right?

@GingerHead  Wow- absolutely incredible! You did a really great job on that fireplace- you definitely gave it new life and modernized it with your skills. You have major home decor and painting talents! Love the fresh white paint on the walls to cover the wood paneling too. You really brightened up the room too by removing the red carpet and exposing the great hardwood floors! Think of how expensive that job would've been and you did it all by by yourself- A+++ score Smiley Very HappyHeart

I like them. They look like ghost pumpkins now. It looks nice around your fireplace with the other pieces.

@GingerHead

Love the after picture. I love light & bright. Not dark & gloomy. Great job.

@GingerHead I love your renovations.  You've done an amazing job of updating some expensive-to-replace elements like the paneling, floor and fireplace rock.  The newly painted white pumpkins look terrific and fit in with your other decor so well.  Congratulations on achieving such excellent results with your efforts.  I look forward to seeing other projects in the future!

@GingerHead It looks great!  I love white & ivory pumpkins!  Great idea to paint them. I love your fireplace!  You did an amazing job on it!

I have a few of Valerie's ceramic pumpkins in ivory which looks great in my living room.  I don't plan on decorating for fall indoors yet since I am having some work done in the house in another week and it's just going to be a big mess!

I did do some on the front porch.  It's been raining a lot so we still have to put the yellow mums in the pots.fall porch 2024.jpeg

Re: Old orange pumpkin painted white.....

Awe, thanks @Marsha2003 ! It was a lot of work. Luckily my husband can do everything (woodwork, electrical,plumbing,etc) and I can do the painting and am the idea guy (haha) so we make a good team.

I always say it's absolutely amazing what a little paint can accomplish and it's cheap and easy to change if you don't like it. I probably painted the fireplace a total of 8 times before I was finally happy with it.

@Nightowlz Thanks! Funny thing is I do like dark and gloomy just as much as light and bright (if not more) but I only wanted to paint this house once and wanted it to attrack more of the masses since this probably isn't out forever home and hope to sell it one day....
