@GingerHead The fireplace looks like it was a lot of work!  In the older photo, it looks like the stones are rougher and in the new improved version they look much smoother.

@GingerHead Thanks!  I got the wreath off of Etsy and wanted something that would show up against the dark red door.

@haddon9  It's all the same rock. But, yes, the rocks do look rougher in the before. I think it's because the only lighting in that picture is the downlighting.  

In addition to painting I also added more grout, for the overgrotted look before painting ....so that side was a little more than paint but on the other side I just painted..
