Old orange pumpkin painted white.....

   I'm starting my Halloween decorating and I had a few of those cheap orange light up pumpkins that I decided to paint with white chalk paint.

I was looking for a way to elevate the look a little. I'm thrilled with the way they turned out!

Re: Old orange pumpkin painted white.....

Thanks for the idea.  I don't decorate for Halloween, but I do have an old ceramic Jack o lantern up in the attic that I made years ago.

 I may dig this out, paint it a different color, turn the face around and use it as a decorative piece in some way or other.  lol

BTW, your decorations look like something out of a magazine.  Good job!

@tends2dogs Do it!

I love painting things it gives them new life and I love your idea of turning the face around to extend your decorating!

Thanks! I like to decorate in an elegant "haunted house" style.

I love Halloween!

@GingerHead   Very nice!  I don't typically decorate for Halloween, but I may have an old carved plastic pumpkin, and may buy a string of Halloween colored lights and put it on the porch when giving out candy on Halloween night.

Your pumpkins look great!

@GingerHead  - that's a great idea to paint something.  I never think to do that, and it's an easy, cheap way to change your look.  I love how you styled them.  I also noticed a skull candle with wicks in its eyes.  Where did you find that?  Very unusual.

@meallen616 Thanks!

@DecorDiva Thanks!

That skull candle is one of my prized possessions! haha

I actually got it years ago on QVC when Martha Stewart was on with her decor. It's a Luminara/Martha Stewart candle. I think you can still buy them on Ebay or elsewhere? Not sure.....
