I join in asking what would constitute merchandise specific to this holiday, which has been around for quite some time, but not well known until it started to emerge a bit once somehow sanctioned as a Federal holiday. As for offerings, I've seen none elsewhere other than a few things from Amazon and a couple of other obscure retailers, and a handful of books available from Target online. Perhaps this is because most retailers tend to focus on items they will sell in volume and they don't anticipate a big demand.

I first learned about Juneteeth back in the 90's from merchandise QVC was selling.
Most holidays have become just another day to sell more stuff.

@tends2dogs You've go to be kidding me!!!! These swimsuits really exist???

As a child, we spent Memorial Day at the cemetery.
So true... Most holidays now equal retailers delight... Look at what Halloween has morphed into... Of course, there are limits as to what most retailers can do with some holidays that are more about recognition...

@Love to Run wrote:While it may be a new holiday to some, Juneteenth has been celebrated for over 150 years. Some of my friends' families have celebrated for generations. With federal recognition, most large retailers offer merchandise similar to that offered for other Summer holidays--decorations, place settings, clothing, memorabilia, etc.
Then I really don't get what the issue is. Type in 'flag' or 'star' in the q search bar and a lot of items come up in various categories. Retailers keep the same merch out from May past July 4th so Juneteenth would be covered as part of the summer holidays as you described it. Perhaps you're just finding fault where none exists?
@ThinkingOutLoud There is no "flag" or "star" associated with Juneteenth. I simply searched for it as I would any holiday, by name. Perhaps you don't know, or care to know, enough about it to offer advice.
I did offer advice. You referred to "merchandise similar to that offered for other summer holidays" so flags and stars it is.
@ThinkingOutLoud Your flippant, disrespectful comments are so predictable, as are your motives behind them. Hanukkah and Christmas are both Winter holidays and Easter and Passover are both Spring holidays; surely you don't suggest that the merchandise is interchangeable.🙄
You totally mistook my response so that's on you and so are your assumptions. Furthermore, you don't seem to understand how you described what you were looking for.

I have never seen Juneteenth merchandise anywhere but I see Amazon has a big selection.

We celebrated it for years, as long as I can remember, in Texas. However, I've never seen any Juneteenth "merchandise". @Love to Run To what are you referring?

@Love to Run I've only heard of the holiday a few years ago. What sort of merchandise is offered for Juneteenth? Is there any special colors associated with the holiday?
@haddon9 Yes! Red, black, and green are traditional and they represent, the people, the land, and the blood shed in the struggle for freedom.

@Kachina624 Tablecloths, banners, runners, balloons, napkins, plates, gift bags, yard signs. I've found what I want on Etsy and Amazon, we plan to have a rather large celebration this year.
