New update.  Had to call customer service regarding different item that was broke when I received it, anyway I mentioned the Hallmark tree situation to her and she was shocked too.  She let me purchase for same price.  Very kind young lady named Rachel.. Very much appreciated.  Now, hopefully I will get the top and bottom of tree and everything works like it is suppose to.  Keeping fingers crossed!
