Re: Mackenzie-Childs Pattern Name Change

@SactoSue - That is interesting. There are different Black Floral Market patterns. For instance, the charger, dinner plate, and salad plate are different. As is the 3qt vs the 2qt teapots. If they have changed the pattern and simply removed the "Market" to indicate that, it seems sneaky. I like the original.

Re: Mackenzie-Childs Pattern Name Change

I went to the Mackenzie-Childs website and they seem to have a lot of the White Flower Market pieces.  Kettles,  plates, vases, collanders, bowls all seem in stock.

Very little Black Flower Market, and what look like a few clearance Green Flower Market.

Re: Mackenzie-Childs Pattern Name Change

Several years ago they stopped making all the flower markets in a big selection. They narrowed it down to just white flower market but would continue the other colors in a few items such as teapot and colanders. There is still a few things that pop up now and again in the other colors, but it is limited. The other colors have been on clearance on and off for awhile.

Hi! @SactoSue 🌸

You had me thinking since I have a sweet jar and the large serving bowl in the Black Floral Market.

When I googled the difference it said it’s the same collection I’m thinking pieces have different patterns of floral specific to the item.

For example my sweet jar doesn’t have the same flowers as my large bowl. Only the black background is the same.

So maybe your set of larger canisters is going to be different than the smaller canister set? Just a thought….

Re: Mackenzie-Childs Pattern Name Change

The Flower Market pieces always seem to cheer me up.

I have the large green collander / great bowl and it is lovely in summer just filled with fruit, or flowers, either real or artificial. Such a pretty green color.

I don't have any Blue Flower Market.   It just wasn't all that special to me.

@RescueLover

I don't mind the difference, as it's not really detectable from across the room.  I do like the smaller cannisters.  The orignal floral pattern is prettier, to my eye.  I really don't need any more so I'm not going to worry about it.

[ Edited ]

Several years ago M-C did the Flower Market Pumpkins.   I remember thinking they were gorgeous then, but only got one small black one.

I think they came in orange or black.  There was also a large mixed pattern pumpkin with Yellow Flower Market and Orange Flower Market panels. There is one of those older large pumpkins for sale on Ebay if you want to take a look at it.  I think I like it better than the current offering.

I seem to recall there was also a stack of Flower Market Pumpkins, one of those stacks meant for outdoors, that were really expensive.

The older series of Flower Market pumpkins had dots in the background color, while the 2025 version does not have the dots.   That's how you can tell them apart.

I don't recall there ever being a White Flower Market one, though.

The 2025 Flower Market pumpkins do have the dots in the background.

I just checked, my bad.  Sorry

Re: Mackenzie-Childs Pattern Name Change

Rebecca confirmed on the second show, I believe, that the Flower Market patterns are now called Flower. She didn't give a reason why the name change.
