Mackenzie-Childs Pattern Name Change

Has anyone else noticed that Rebecca now calls the White Flower Market pattern simply White Flower? She has dropped the word "Market" from all of the Flower Market patterns.

Does anyone know why? I prefer keeping the word "Market" in the pattern name as it sounds prettier. Just using the color with the word flower makes it seem not as special. When I hear "Flower Market" I think of Paris and it gives a more upscale impression. Dropping the "Market" does not bring forth a visual.

@Sakuya That's interesting. That is my favorite pattern they do. Maybe she is just shortening the name for television. I do notice it is called White Flower Market everywhere else though. Stay turned...

[ Edited ]

I was wondering if White Flower was a slightly different pattern than White Flower Market.

What I see on the M-C section on QVC seems to have either fewer flowers or fewer colors in the pattern.

I think I would almost have to hold them side by side to see.

I have some pieces in the Black Flower Market pattern and I ordered the Mini Cannisters in Black Floral so I'll let you know when I have both of them together to compare.

I have Black Flower Market and Green Flower Market. Then they discontinued making all the items with these patterns except for a few pieces. I am wondering if dropping "Market" means they will bring them back under the guise of a new name.

There is not as  much White Flower pattern anymore. I know the check is popular but it is just not my thing.

I'm liking the new Wild Rose Brown color pattern.

It's almost a black-brown and will work in well with darker fall decor colors, and their items are enamelware, so not as susceptible to chipping or breaking as their ceramic pieces are.

Re: Mackenzie-Childs Pattern Name Change

BLACK FLOWER MARKET and BLACK FLOWER are not the same.

My set of Black Flower small cannisters arrived today, I compared the with my regular size Black Flower Market cannisters.

The new Black Floral is not the same.  It is very similar, and you wouldn't see it unless you had them in a row.

The new one has some different flowers that are not on BFM.  It has less green in the floral pattern. Floral Market has more identifiable flowers, while Floral has fewer recognizeable flowers.  It's almost like M-C lost the pattern for Floral Market and someone had to re-create it strictly from memory.

I much prefer Black Floral Market..   I assume it is the same for the other Floral Market colors, too.
