Oh dear, my first thought on seeing that photo was the wildfire in Northern CA last month.

Nice. We dont need a fire here in PA it is a balmy 60 degrees.

We have been hovering around 60 degrees in my neck of the woods in California and I do not call it balmy.  It's funny what we get used to.  It is fire weather to me for sure.

Haven't gotten to use my fireplace much yet - I'm about 50 miles south of DC and on NYE during the day it was in the 60s but rained all day/night so about 9pm I turned on the gas fireplace bc it was damp and got chilly but turned it on mostly for the ambiance.

@mousiegirl:  Just beautiful....I get lost in the fire, so mesmerizing.  Cup of coffee and I could sit for hours.
