Who is getting these, and how many sets?  My thought is that I would need about 12 ornaments on my tree to make it look the way I want, and that's too much money to spend for something I would only use during the holidays.  I know that you could use both the ornaments and candles in other ways throughout the year, but realistically, I don't think I would do that.  The candles eat batteries, and it would be a pain and very expensive to change them several times a month for longer than just the month of December.  Also, I wouldn't have any interest in putting the glass ornaments around my home other than on my tree in December.  So, I did a little research.  After a little research, I was able to find the identical glass ornaments that I could buy a set of 12 for under $37 with free shipping, and I also found Luminara copycats that use the same batteries and have a remote for under $56 with free shipping for 12.  They also come with extra batteries, are dimmable, and have great reviews.  Basically, I could get the equivalent of 4 sets of the TSV for under $93.  I won't get the candle rings, but I can be very happy using vase filler.  I realize I wouldn't be getting the Luminara name, but for 6 weeks a year, and considering I have a $100 gift card that's been sitting in my drawer, for me, I think this is a smarter choice.

Battery life stopping me.

I have no interest in changing batteries that much.

I also don't care for the glass bulb. Would only use the candles and rings so I'm passing on these. If they ever get the battery life up on candles this size, I'll be happy to have some.

the champagne color is gorgeous but no, I am not buying them. I love my luminaras but those seem real expensive and, honestly, the glass bulbs are pretty boring.

@HappyDaze I thought the same thing about the globes at first, too, but the more I see them, the more I like them.  The reflection of the flame on the glass produces a very elegant look to me.  I've wanted candles on my tree for years, and I think this is a good solution to display them.

@TenderMercies  I agree, so bought two sets of the red. Smiley Happy  The remote is a plus also.  I didn't think I would buy them, but seeing them and imagining them on my tree, sold me.

@TenderMercies @Mominohio  I won't use the timer, and by using the remote, the battery life should be longer as a few hours a night, except for Christmas Eve and Day, is all the use they would get.

@mousiegirl

I was concerned about battery life but great idea to not use timer and use the remote.   I am considering the icy blue.

I really like them too but they are so expensive. If I were just getting one set I might buy them but I too would want them for my tree and one set just wouldn't be enough so I think I'll have to pass.  Everything by Luminara is very expensive,  I have several of their candles and love them but I also have other brands of flicker candles,  that were much less expensive, and there just as nice. I think I'll look around maybe one of the other brands will come out with something.

They look pretty but changing batteries weekly is ridiculous. I appreciate they give you some extras but I am not inclined to be taking them down and changing batteries. Passing on this one! Would love to see a NEW holiday brand or vendor sometime for a CIJ TSV...everything this year seems the same no matter what show or brand, all selling versions of the same stuff. Buyers need some diversity!

I bought 3 sets of the red. My brother has the Luminara tree candles that are really hard to find....they look so pretty on his tree. These look just as pretty in the Christmas tree on QVC.

I thought I could just make these since my daughter said she saw the glass bulb at the Dollar store, but the Luminara tea lights are expensive elsewhere....so I gave in and just bought these.

Since everything in it is removeable, I'll probably use them all year with the remotes.
