Re: Looking for Something Specific?

I think a tree with all those beautiful fall leaves in it is really pretty.  Would be a nice way to display the colored leaves in a dimension that you don't get to appreciate when they are lying on a countertop in garland or centerpiece.

It could also be cute on a porch, if you had a big enough porch or entry and a thin tree.

@Sakuya Not really for Christmas. I think I have enough but inevitably end up making a couple purchases during CIJ. However, I am really leaning towards decorating my Christmas tree this Fall like the one below. It's so pretty.

@cjm61   wow, that is so pretty!   I put up my Christmas tree and leave it up four or five weeks.  You could leave the fall up until the Christmas tree is ready.  I don't do much decorating except the tree and a centerpiece for the DR table, and a wreath for the door.  I'm even slow taking it down in January, because I love the calming affect of my tree.

I'm also looking for a couple of nine-foot-long garlands. I've got some bookmarked at Amazon that I'll probably end up with, but I'm looking other places also. Temu has quite a few at good prices also.

@Sakuya  I also have many decorations but am always looking to change things up.  I love decorating for the holidays.  It seems to boost my mood to have the lights and bring in new colors. This year especially looking forward to it!

Re: Looking for Something Specific?

I'd like to get 2 new Christmas wreaths for my front door.  If I can get to a craft show , I hope to find one there.  Otherwise, no more decor for me.  I have enough.

My last two wreaths have been DIY ones as I wasn't thrilled with what I saw out there. I DIYed one last year for this season that still needs a few finishing touches. My old one was made of two cheap (I think I paid $1.99 each at AC Moore) wreaths. I took the branches of both wreaths and pointed them all forward and then pressed the two together to make one very full and bushy wreath. Then I added a bunch of ornaments and ribbons to it.

The new one I got last year is prelit from Walmart. I got it after the season when it was marked down 75%. Not very bushy but a decent one. I added some ornamentation to it last year and will finish it this year before the holidays. It doesn't need a lot more, just a bit. A ribbon, and maybe some more ornaments and it should be good to go.
