I cancelled my orders. Well, I tried. One group has shipped and one is in the process of being shipped so now I'm going to have to pack them up and send them back.

There is simply too much doubt with these items and the cost is SIGNIFICANT. If I'm questioning it this much, it's not meant to be.

Something great will come along later, I'm sure.

Have to say, so many GREAT questions/opinions were mentioned in this thread. I'm going to go back and reread it all and take notes so next time, I'll be better prepared. : )

@SahmIam  I'm glad you have decided to do what you feel is best for you.  I think the 6" diam. is a bit too large for most of the Luminara lanterns giving them a crowded look.  I love the 14" height for the 25" lanterns. Maybe at a later date you'll find just what you want.

EDITED TO ADD: Heads up ladies; these candles are being shipped via USPS SUREPOST!!!  Great, just freaking great. Good luck to everyone that your candles are in one piece and not a tub of wax.

With them being new I think your smart to wait. Every one of my packages the last few weeks have been kept by UPS instead of being handed off to the PO. In my case I would prefer they hand them off. My UPS man is too unpredictable about arrival time and it is not always a good thing when he pulls up and the hubster is home. My mail lady on the other hand....I could set a clock by her. Every day at 3 pm she comes rolling up.

@ChrissyKR  You must be my neighbor, lol, you described both the mail carrier and UPS the same as I would describe mine.

@SahmIam  Maybe once they arrive, you can find other places to put them aside from the lanterns.  You have until January of next year to return, unless they are defective.

@mousiegirl

Are you sure that return policy applies to these since Christmas in July is over?  I didn't think it did.

@itsmetoo  Usually, everything bought then and after can be returned as late as January of next year.  There will be many more shows and people will be buying gifts for many months to come, so everything is eligible.

Thank you for that information because customer service told me that only Christmas items can be returned until Jan, everything else is still the 30 days.

@SahmIam

Maybe when they come, take a few days to look at them and try them in different places and with different things, and you may love them.

And I'm worried that these make it safe too. They are so big, I think there is the possibility they could get melty in some areas where it is so hot this year, or get cracked if roughly handled during shipping.

I really want these in sets I think so I hope they arrive safely.

These are not eligible for January return, only 30 days.

They have to be sold during a CIJ event or the event coming up on the 25th of this month.

It usually isn't until September 25th, that all purchases are returnable till the end of January. Until that date, it is only certain items sold during holiday event programming.

Check with a SUPERVISOR in Customer Service to be sure, but that is how it has been in the past.

@Mominohio and everyone else:

Thanks, we'll see what condition they arrive in. What's arriving isn't a set, however. It's a 6 and 12 inch red and a 10 inch ivory. Of course it wouldn't be 1 complete set, now would it, lololol?! Yeah, they're all going back.
