But she has to buy them from somewhere and also make a profit. VPH Christmas decorations I'm sure are just the same. She picks them out and buys them.
I agree, she's a very small scale operation selling from her home. She no doubt buys in the tens or maybe a few hundred at a time. But her supply is miniscule. She's buying from the same manufactuers and wholesalers that everyone else buys from. The stuff is out there. If I found someting that I liked and she was sold out, I'd just go online and look for it from somewhere else.

@GCR18...thank you so much, sweetie. This piece is even more beautiful in person. And, although I love Lisa's designs, I will only buy things that I can not find elsewhere and at more affordable prices. This is the only piece I have purchased from her. No jewelry, because I have way too much now. But, I know I will enjoy this piece for eternity.
It's a beautiful piece and I'm glad your enjoying it and I know you will continue to enjoy it for many years to come!!! ![]()
My decor pieces are in all price ranges and I try to shop wisely and find a good bargain. I agree with you whole heartedly, if there is something that catches my eye that I really love, then I don't mind spending a little more for something that's unique and special........I found this wooden angel in a little shop in Marble Falls, TX.....she was unique and although pricey I just had to take her home......and the perfect spot is on the top of my amoire overseeing the Christmas activites.....Sadly that shop is no longer in business so I'm glad I found her when I did....and every year I bring her out it's like seeing an old friend....
P.S. Pay no attention to the critics....

Your so right I've seen some of Valerie's pieces sold elsewhere....the set of carolers for example and some of her angel figurines at other places be it on he internet or locally.....The difference is that Valerie also gives ideas of how they can be displayed and when they are shown on TV you have to make a choice to get them at what QVC sells them for, or take a chance and wait to shop around to see if you can find it elsewhere cheaper....I guess it's just how much you like or want the item.....And Lisa is doing the same.....There might be some where Valerie might ask for a change here or there based on QVC customer taste and wants....or l where Valerie recorded carols she played on the piano that was included in her musical egg ornaments....

I just checked Bellacor and don't see it listed. Maybe it sold out. I do see another one there that I might order. I looked under Nativity and Holy Family.
update-
I just went throught the items again and found it under White Joseph, Mary, and Baby. I am thrilled. Thanks so much for the tip. I think the Copper Lanterns that Lisa was selling are on there...not sure they are the exact match.
You are all the best for info and tips...Thanks again!!
another update-
Unfortunately they just emailed me and cancelled my order. It is out of stock till Jan 2017. I am so disappointed.
Interesting info and I've now bookmarked Bellacor as a possible source for copper lanterns in the future. I wanted Lisa's but then decided that the style was too elegant for my home and decor. This site has several copper sets and there's no telling what else I'll find if I browse around.
By the way, can anyone tell me what went wrong with Lisa's lantern shipments? I've tried looking on her FB page, but there are just too many comments to wade through.

I see she's in Italy now, so it seems she'll have some gold over silver jewelry for sale soon, for the holidays. Just a heads up for anyone who likes her jewelry and wants to keep an eye out.

@DREAMON- I'm sorry you missed out on the Holy Family....they had three when I was shopping for something else....it's a very nice site with good quality....I'm on the decorating committee for our condominium and I use them a lot for a public place I decorate....it seems I saw the piece elsewhere but can't remember...where. I did see the same piece in gold on a few sites but I thought the white was nicer as the faces were more defined ....I think it is made by melrose international and I've purchased from there directly but not sure they have this particular piece.
@SHOPR- bellacor has nice variety and quality....I've used them a lot personally and professionally.

Shipping yes. But I suspect she picks up the stuff herself because she doesn't want the delay in shipping, she wants the items immediately and she's hand picking what she wants. She doesn't want pick specific things out and then have them say, there's a delay because they are out of stock. Also, she loves to travel, we all know that. Now she gets to travel and write it off as a business expense. I'm friendly with a woman here in twon who has a small boutique, she's only open 3 days a week. She buys her things from NYC and she always loads up her car and brings them back with her, she's small scale and can do that and there's no wait.

I like the Holy Family figurine, but from my perspective, the figure of Mary is not in proportion to Joseph. The head and body look so much smaller. Maybe this is the angle of the photo? I have Jim Shore's Holy Family that I bought at least 5 years ago. The faces are so lovely. It's good to see that nativities are still being offered and obviously enjoyed. I see no reason why something like Lisa's version could not be displayed year round, just like classic angels.
