Really like the ribbon. I know you said it was easy to do, but I'm all thumbs when it comes to tree decorating - glad my DH takes on that chore.

May I ask you how much ribbon you needed to decorate your tree and how tall your tree is?

My tree is 6 1/2 feet tall.  Make sure you use 'wired' ribbon because that will allow you to make the loops that will stay exactly where you want them.

I had a roll of 2 1/2 inch wide ribbon (bought from BJs) and the roll says 40 yards.  Since my tree is in the corner, I didn't decorate the back or put ribbon there because it wasn't visible and I don't have a rotating stand.   So, the front and both sides, as far as the eye could see, were decorated and ribboned.  I looked at the roll of ribbon remaining, and I would say it looks like I used about 1/4 - 1/3 of the roll, so not as much ribbon as you would think.

I would recommend, if you plan on doing the ribbon this way, to purchase the large roll of ribbon so you don't have to worry about how much you need.  I paid $7.99 for the 40 yards of ribbon at BJs. If you belong to Costco, Sam's or BJs they always have the large rolls of ribbon for a very reasonable cost.

I hope I was of some help to you.  Please post a picture of your tree when you're finished.

Thanks for the explanation! I’m going to try that next year.
