Re: Is there going to be a St. Paddy's day all day on Sunday?

@Effie54   It was my favorite day to shop too.😊❤️. I remember looking so forward to the whole day too!  I also love the Conamara beads.  They used to feature entire hours of them with necklaces, Rosaries, bracelets.  Back then they took the time to also tell some stories and folklore that went with the various products.  I miss it being an all day event.😔

@cheriere  Yes, that's what made the day so special. it wasn't just about selling the items, it was about the workmanship, the folklore and legend, and the stories behind the creation that made the items so unique.

I miss those day long St. Patrick's day shows. They were such fun with all the vendors from Ireland, the music, the dancers and

sometimes  little videos with beautiful scenes of Ireland.

I bought many items from those shows and have collections of the capes and Aran sweaters, jewelry and Belleek.

The cost of the sweaters has gone up, but so has everything else.

I can't believe that the TSV isn't even an Irish item. Smiley Sad

     That is sad.

@Enufstuff  I shake my head with the CEO of the Q, and those in charge of programming. Seriously..... I know they're trying to gear their audience to younger people. But I don't know young people who are remotely interested in it. The Q has a strong foundation of 50+ viewers. I'm old school, and, like you, miss the traditional Irish programming. Another computer on St. Patrick's Day?? Ugh! I love (and miss) the same...the stories, the clips of Ireland, the vendors, and the gorgeous Aran items. The prices are not out of line, considering they would be nearly the same price in Ireland.
