Indoor/Outdoor Illuminated Vintage Mercury Glass Lantern by Valerie H215620

Last year I saw a video where Valerie had lined a staircase with these hanging from a garland. I wanted to duplicate it. So I bought 8 of the smallest lanterns in red. I was really happy with how pretty it looked.

 

After we took the garland down, DH suggested leaving the lanterns up. We had gotten used to them lighting the staircase at night, and we didn't want to be completely in darkness again. I thought OK - Valentine's Day is coming. They kind of stayed up and summer - well, our home has a lot of red, white, and blue in it! So they are still up.

 

We put them up the first of December. We never changed the batteries. Just a few weeks ago a few of them started dimming, and now some are out. But some are still dimly lit. I need to change the batteries, but I am AMAZED they lasted this long. The Energizer Bunny is right on!  Smiley Wink
