I have a pink tree with cupcake, lollipops and cotton candy ornaments along with toy and fairy ornaments. I went elegant for awhile with lots of floral swags but I missed the childlike feeling of Christmas and do this instead now.
I also have a large lollipop bouquet I use as a tree topper.

@GenXmuse I love the sounds of that tree!... and your spirit, which I relate to. I love whimsy and "childlike" fun at Christmas too. Actually, I always love a bit of whimsey sprinkled into year-round decor. đź’–

Thank you so much! My home has bits of unexpected whimsy here and there. Having a bright, cheerful environment is important to me. I'm glad you can relate and have that similar spirit and joie de vivre. I don't want to ever completely grow up!

Re: How do you decorate your tree?

Our trees have always been totally hodgepodge with both clear and multicolor lights.  Have NEVER liked theme trees.

We haven't bothered to put up a tree for the last several years.  I don't like to give up the open space in my living room for a tree.  The other members of this household have asthma and COPD, so it does not seem wise to take a dusty artificial tree and decorations normally stored in our basement for 11 months, and bring them into our living space for 1 month.  Am not willing to risk an asthma or COPD flare for any of my family members.

Re: How do you decorate your tree?

I decorate my trees differently each year. I usually do a more formal design in the living room and a more country design in the family room. This year I totally switched that. I almost never do the same design twice.

Re: How do you decorate your tree?

We have many handmade and hand painted ornaments.

I also have many hand thrown ornaments from a shop we used to love to visit on vacation.

I got a heavy red berry rope I got at a Christmas shop in Biltmore Village.

Re: How do you decorate your tree?

Our trees have always been hodgepodge much like yours @J Town Girl .  We go out and saw a huge tree down the first week of December, move our sofa out of the parlor so the tree can sit in the bay window.   All sorts of Ornaments, garlands, lights and an Angel on top. Christmas music playing while we decorate it and hot chocolate and apple cider to drink.  We take it down in January, on Little Christmas.

[ Edited ]

I have 20 trees ranging from 2 ft to the large 7.5 in the family room. Most are small 3-4 feet table top and pencil trees. I like a tree in corners of the room that don't take up alot of room.

Nutcracker pencil tree

Bubble light table top

Grinch tree

Disney tree

Elf pencil tree

Snowman tree

Gingerbread tree

Tinsel table top

Vintage ornament silver table top

Woodland pencil tree

Cobalt blue and gold 5 ft slim flocked tree

Red and gold (7.5 tree)

Cardinal Table top tree

Flocked white owl table top tree

Buffalo plaid pencil tree

Topiary table top tree

Multicolor Candy table top tree

Faire Aiisle table top tree

Frozen table top

Glass icicle and crystal table top tree

Silver and white pencil tree.....

Looks so pretty in the evenings and mornings. I start Nov 1st and take my time. I keep it all organised  We prefer the small trees becaue the 7.5 ft takes most of the day to decorate. We aren't ready to get rid of it yet. I have switched to all LED, so I don't notice much of an increase in my electric bill with all of them lit.

I am 67 and will put a tree/trees up as long as I can. I guess I have OCD....Obsessive Christmas Disorder.....
