@Caaareful Shopper  I'm with you Ms shopper.  Thanksgiving is my all time FAV meal to cook, to eat, to enjoy ALL of the trimmings.  So as usual, I'll get the fresh turkey from our fav smaller family owned grocery.  Holy cow, we've never had a trukey that's been better.  Really.

 

With both of our parents/family gone it's just the two of us.  I have a sister who eats with her friend and/or daughter and her kids.  DH has an out of town brother who we rarely see.

 

And @godi  I certainly feel your pain about the bro in law eating and running out directly after dinner.  We've had him at the thanksgiving table a time or two in the past and he does exactly the same thing - eats and dashes.  He barely takes his very empty plate out to the kitchen after he's finished.  He never asked for dessert to to go though.  If he did, I'd be GRIPED as well.
