Halloween Skeletons decorated for Christmas?

Today I saw the second gigantic yard Skelton decorated for Christmas.  I am not a religious person, I attend church, but I am trying to come to accepting this, which I can't.  Is it my old age?  I was wondering how others feel about this.

I assume it was inspired by Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas, a film which I really enjoy and often watch when it is on.  However, I find the concept of  Christmas skeletons to be totally off-putting.  And I am not religious.

I've seen this being done at a few homes in my town as well. I honestly didn't know what to make of it either. Cause I'm older too I assumed some Goth type kids must be living in these homes. I hadn't considered the Nightmare Before Christmas theme, that's a great call!

Thoughtless at best, offensive otherwise.  Totally.

That's a new one to me.  Also t he  reason I pass a blind eye to Halloween......Skeletons. Casper  = the friendly ghost & then beautiful lights for Christmas.

I personally never considered "Christmas" as being religious.

Cheers!

I could not help but chuckle when I read this header.😂😂

It is definitely NOT something I would ever entertain, but for all the Hallowmas lovers out there then I say, "do whatever makes you happy"!!!😁

Frankly, I would rather see the skeletons than those blow up decorations which I hate. In the end it is personal taste and whatever makes you happy.

Really? Why? Is it because of the commercialism? It's up to us as individuals to keep and remember that, "Jesus, is the reason for the season!"

Re: Halloween Skeletons decorated for Christmas?

We have an entire tree with The Nightmare Before Christmas decorations.  The tree is black.  We've been collecting these decorations for about 20 years.  We also have a traditional tree.
