OK, @QVCkitty1 , now I may move to Twizzlers as the winner.  They must be fresh though!

@Sweetbay magnolia , Absolutely, I just love the texture !

Chocolate covered cherries!  Even some of the cheap ones.  Not that they are Halloween candy, but they usually appear about this time of the year.

Or the really good "turtle" candies.

Milky Way Simply Caramel.

I buy Kit Kats, regular Milky Ways, Hersheys, PB Cups etc for the trick or treaters and I have no problem keeping the candy until Halloween. But I cannot let a bag of Simply Caramel into my house. My witchy superpower can make a bag of these disappear in a day, Woman Wink

I love the Simply Caramel, too.  I never buy them because I would eat them all.

[ Edited ]

Cracker Jacks!!

Actually any kind of caramel popcorn with nuts.

Not easy to find, at least a good quality kind.

I see where Werther's made some.   Saw a bag in TJMaxx one day, should have grabbed it, haven't seen it since.    Local Walmart doesn't have it .

I'm not supposed to eat popcorn or nuts.   The older I get the more I appreciate a good caramel anything, this from a former chocoholic.

Edited to add, thanks for this thread (eyeroll) now I want one of everything!

One aunt in the family always gave everyone a wrapped box of chocolate covered cherries, along with the Christmas gift at dinner.

The candy was all gone before dinner was over!

So for us, it is a seasonal treat.

We can buy them year round but that would just spoil the surprise.

Kroger has their own Signature brand of Dark Chocolate Sea Salt Truffles I'm crazy about, also Dark Chocolate Sea Salt Caramels.  After that Ghiradelli 72% Dark Chocolate squares, and a tie between Reese's PB Cups and Mounds.  I haven't seen the Reese's Dark Chocolate PB Cups, but that would probably beat out the milk chocolate for me.  For a non-chocolate item, it would have to be Starburst Fruit Chews.

I am all over this sugar overload idea!   Bring on the Reese’s mallo cups, mini pb cups, and smoothies, white chocolate kit kats, mini snickers, peanut m & m’s, pixie straws, sixlets, almond joys, Mr Goodbars, tootsie rolls, suckers, and Bazooka bubble gum.

Twizzler Pull 'n Peel

Milky Way Midnight (formerly Forever Yours)

Ghirardelli Dark Chocolate Mint Squares

And, not really "Halloween candy," but my favorite favorites: Trader Joe's Dark Chocolate Mint Creams, Godiva dark chocolate buttercreams (with vanilla cream inside), and Costco Salted Caramels.

Oh, my! Swoooon. Time to sit on the couch with a cold compress!!!
