My pumpkin dishes came and it's going to be HARD to give them up. I may have to order a set for myself.
As I mentioned, I made the original order with the thought of using some of the dishes in a gift basket for the animal resuce groups I support.
After seeing them in person, I got weak in the knees, but have not yet ordered. I spent hours unpacking my boxes this morning and only just lifted the styrofoam holding the dishes in place. Didn't take them all the way out. Just got a peek. However, I loved what I saw. Sigh.
Not to mention that I made the mistake of looking at all the other dishes discussed here.
I think I like the BH &G Leaves pattern better. All the serving pieces, too....Yikes!
And, the white pumpkin butter dish is in my cart as we speak. And the set of 4 orange pumpkin cookies jars someone mentioned. I mean I already ordered the pumpkin mugs, why not go completely bonkers.
Troublemakers If I see any more threads on pumpkin anything, I'm NOT going to open them!!
So, I'm taking a deep breath and waiting a day before I make a final decision.

@Witchy Woman - I received my order of the ivory serving bowl, platter, and bread plate with the pumpkin/harvest border on Saturday along with the set of four pumpkin cookie jars. My package with the BHG patterned dinnerware and serving sets got delayed and will arrive tomorrow.
In person, I didn't love the pumpkin/harvest border set as much as I did when viewing it online; the pieces are nice without being too cutesy, but there were some major blemishes such as a big divot in the rim of the bowl and some globby paint on the bread dish. I may see if my family members are interested in taking them since it was just $10 for the whole set.
However, I absolutely ADORE the pumpkin cookie jars! Even though the painting is a smidge inconsistent in the bit of vine that cascades down from the lid to the belly of the bowl (it seems obvious that the tops and bottoms were painted separately), all four arrived in perfect condition and are really nice. I can't believe they were only $6 and change each. Now I have to decide how many I'm keeping, how many I'm giving away, and whether I need to order more.
I'll report on the BHG set tomorrow or Wednesday...

That's too bad about the blemished pieces.
When buying a "set" that is the hazzard. It has happened to me before.
It could be that some of my dishes are blemished, but I was just too darn exhausted to take every dish out of the box. My plan is to maybe use placesettings for one or two in my gift baskets.
You are right, for that price it isn't worth hauling them back to the store.
I also ordered some of the Pioneer Woman cookies jars "Charlie" and "Lucy."
They were not on sale, but inexpensive. They are absolutely adorable!
I figured the dogs would be poplular item in a raffled basket.
What's interesting is I rarely see any of the things I purchased in my store. So, they must just have been hoarding them in the warehouse
Finally, I think a set of those pumpking cookies jars are coming home to me! To go with the pumkin mugs, of course!

Went to Walmart to purchase the white pumpkin butter dish. The only thing I saw was the back to school supplies....not a pumpkin to be found. I was under the impression they were in the store. Anyway, went home to order the dish, will be here tomorrow.

That doesn't surprise me. I rarely see things in the store that are offered on their website.
Have never seen sets of themed dishes -- only individual dishes.
Have no idea why. Even though I have 3 Walmarts within 30 minutes of me, I frequently order online for that very reason. Stuff just isn't in the store!
Let us know how you like the dish!

Go for it! My feeling now is.....l can't do things for other people if I don't do for myself first!! How does that sound? HUH, HUH? I'm not buying anything else for fall and probably not much for Christmas. Like most of us, there is NO MORE room for trinkets as my husband calls my stash! But on the other hand if I see something I really want a whole lot, it's in my buggy and I'll find some reason for buying it!!

My BHG harvest dinnerware and serving sets arrived yesterday and they're gorgeous! They look like they'd cost far more than what I spent for them. The platter and serving bowl are ginormous--even after I read the dimensions online when ordering, I wasn't prepared for how large and impressive they are. (I definitely won't be using the bowl for cranberry sauce as intended; I think it holds almost 4 quarts.)
My one tiny complaint is that there are some grey feathers incorporated into the otherwise warm design that I don't like and didn't notice when ordering, but they are most obvious on the platter and play a smaller role on the plates and bowls. Oh, and I love the fact that the salad/dessert plates are four different designs! They're all so pretty. The ramekins and salt and pepper shakers are a nice addition instead of the typical small mugs, which we don't use.
In short, if you like this design online, you'll love it in person.

So happy you love the dishes -- doesn't it just make your heart sing?
I know....such a small thing in life, but sometimes, that's all we need.
I'm taking another look, but REALLY need to resist.....

Sooo...after some pondering, I've decided to follow/steal the idea of @Witchy Woman and break up this beautiful set of dishes into gifts, keeping just the salad plates, serving bowl, and shakers for myself. I really like the dishes, but I don't think I love them quite enough to buy more sets to accommodate holiday entertaining.
On a related note, I just purchased an absolutely gorgeous new fall table runner on Amazon, and I may return to purchase more linens from the product line; since the forums sometimes don't allow external links, I'm attaching a picture of the lovely "Feuilles" ("leaves") piece from SARO Lifestyle (which also offers tons of other nice decor items). It has been harder than I thought it would be to find autumnal linens with a white background rather than a cream or tan, so I was thrilled to find this...

I continue to resist buying any dishes for myself as I truly do not need them.
It's just that when I see autumnal decor, I get excited for cooler days to come and how lovely it all looks. The reality is, there are just two of us and I have enough dishes!
My mother had the same weakness I think. We would roam the countryside and bring home huge branches of leaves that were changing colors. Somehow, once separated from the tree, they never looked as pretty! But she continued this practice for many years.
That table runner is stunning. I will check out their selection of linens (another weakness!). One year I was crazy wild over April Cornell table linens and have a drawer full of stuff to prove it. Sigh.
I'm getting ready to start working on my gift baskets in a few days, so....those dishes will be on their way to another home in a few weeks
Enjoy those you kept!
