Gingerbread man decor...yes or no

I don't know if it is 'in' or 'out' but how do you feel or do you use gingerbread decor in your holiday decorating?

I'm not a fan of the style Valerie Parr Hill brings. I think I would have been when my son was little or if I had small grandchildren.

I do like primitive gingerbread, like those below.

So do you like/use gingerbread decor at all, or is it totally a pass for you?

@Mominohio  Very cute photos, and what adorable gingerbread men.  They are cute as cookies, but for me I wouldn't use them as decor.  However, if you like it go for it!

I only have like three of them, and they are small @phoenixbrd. I tend to get them out in the winter and place them with a primitive candle and some scatter, or with some greens and pine cones. And even though I like the primitive ones, it took me a long time to buy any! LOL

@Mominohio ~ I like the gingerbread in the photos you posted!  As far as Valerie's gingerbread, I don't know.  It depends on the item.  I purchased the gingerbread birdhouses she offered in the past and really like them.  The gingerbread houses she has on the website now are cute but I don't like the writing on them.

@Mominohio not a great fan of gingerbread men. We have a pair of ornaments we received as a gift. We hang them from the knobs of a jelly cupboard. However, that cream ware bowl, now I'll take that in a heartbeat!

I think they are really cute in a kitchen. I would tuck them into a greenery and candle center piece on the island or the center of the kitchen table. I would tie some small red bows on the greenery.

My favorites are definitely the primitive kind too @Mominohio, and I have a few . Many years back I made a few batches out of cinnamon dough and hung on the tree.😀 I wish Valerie would offer the primitive ones !

I don’t care for the houses either....too busy and “cutesy”

for me but I know they are loved by many !

love the ones pictured !
