I hope someone learned not to make such a comment, considering the circumstances of this poster.

Talk about thoughtless and rude. There's a whole life outside the QVC forums, and it sure can be incredibly painful. I'm so sorry about your son @Ppooh

@Ppooh - I just saw your post. You may not "know" me from the forums, but I want to talk to you. You are going through a trying time, and you are a true example of a mother's love and what she will do for her son.

My mother went through something similar when my 27-year old brother was diagnosed. She went into protective mode. She left her job and moved to his location temporarily to tend to him. She slept on a cot in his small apartment. She wouldn't leave his side.

I drove about 2 hours to get there once a week. I was teaching at a community college, and would leave on Tuesday evenings, stay Wednesday, and leave early Thursday morning to come home. Others covered my classes, and I graded everyone's papers!

But my mom was a rock. I usually took him to his appointments at first, and of course he was in and out of the hospital. She kept things as normal as she could back at his apartment.

I know their time together was special. They said everything they needed to say. When he would wake up, she was the first person he wanted to see. My brother was sick for a little over 6 months.

Years later when I had a son I understood. I understood it all.

You are not alone. When you think there is no way you can handle this,  He will give you strength to go on, to be there for the wonderful gift you received years ago. Your son has other loved ones, but you are his mom.

We are here for you too. If you feel like talking don't even hesitate to post. All of us have been through our own trials. I will be praying for you. (((HUGS)))
