Re: Fall Decorating with Neutrals

I love simplicity and elegance. Have always preferred neutrals. Thank you so much for sharing.

I am decorating with just about all neutrals this year. I love color but find as I age it makes me restless to some degree.

The neutrals seem to calm me. How about you? Do you like lots of color or more softness of color?

Anyway, I am having so much fun decorating this year. Last year was a total wash-out for me but it is onward and upwards this year. Yay! Smiley Very Happy

@Regal Bee   I did this a few years ago, but the colors were still Fall, only muted, and much lighter.  I have to rotate, so maybe next Fall I will do it again, though I do love the rich, deep colors of Fall.

Because the weather is still quite warm in my area through autumn, I prefer skipping orange in favor of soft shades of brown, gold and green, as I used this year, or the cream, sage and grey combination that I've used in years past.  Your wreath is lovely, @Regal Bee .

@Marsha2003   I can relate weatherwise, cool this week, but ten degrees higher next week, though the prediction of 90's through October have disappeared, and will now be 70's-80's.

Where did you find the wreath? Orange is not my decor.

@traveler

I WILL not do orange or mustard and will only wear it in a print if it is barely there.

I have the red Apple dishes by Franciscan and use antique pewter candlesticks with greenery, pine cones, and red apples on a red tablecloth.

Here is my Dining Room.

@Regal Bee Bee-u-ti-ful! Love that palate and your wreath. I gravitate to softer colors for fall too. Something about it is soothing yet cheerful.

I like orange for fall, but a little goes a long way. I mix it in with other colors.

@Regal Bee That's very beautiful.I bought a set of VPH's velvet pumpkins in white. I just got them today so I'm going to add them to my decor when I have a few minutes to decide.

@Regal Bee

That wreath would have looked fabulous in an apartment I lived in many years ago. I had a sofa I loved at the time with those colors in it. The 2 together would have been perfect.
