After Labor Day.
08-12-2020 06:59 PM
I'll start about the third week in September. If it's still warm, I'll go to the last week. The spring silk baskets will be taken up, with the keey color in this house being red, fall will be cream and deep green.

My summer stuff is fading fast in the bright South sun 🌞. I'll put the fall stuff up the last Monday in August. Just hope the highs are in the mid 70's by then.

I usually don't start until after Labor Day, maybe even the middle of September. I don't know if it's because of all that has gone on in the world this year or what but I am really wanting to start earlier. In fact, I can hardly wait to start decorating. I agee with PA mom-mom and hope you'll post pictures this year, @Regal Bee, of your always beautiful decor.

I will shoot for the first week of September. But...if the weather is still really hot and humid, I will wait a week or so.

Right after Labor Day. It's tradition for me. It was always about waiting till I got the kiddo back in school and his birthday over with (which often falls on Labor Day weekend).
And now it just feels like it's right. Back to school has always meant fall to me, and we never started school till after Labor Day. Deep rooted traditions I guess! LOL

And once I decorate for fall, it seems like the decorating train never stops till mid winter, so I'm just not into getting on that train when it is hot like this. I do a lot of fall decor these days (used to have one little box), then big into Christmas, then on to greens and such for winter. I'm always excited for decor changes, but by late winter, I'm so ready to put most everything away, and have minimal things out spring and summer.

Not until October. It's summer now and I'm still in summer mode.

I always start the day after Labor Day. But this year, since Labor day is late I will probably put a few of my indoor items out a day or 2 earlier. I will decorate the front porch and back deck on Labor day. The only thing I won't have right away is fresh pumpkins. I guess I will get those around the second week of September as I want them to last till Thanksgiving.

I usually bring out the Fall Decor on Labor Day Weekend. Fall is my favorite time of year, so I like to have my decorations out for as long as I can.

I want to get done by mid September so I can enjoy the decor through early November. I'll get all my Christmas decor staged and ready to go by mid November. I want to have the living room and dining room done for Christmas - that's what takes the most time - and leave fall up in the kitchen and family room until then.
