centerpiece-Christmas-table-green-Provence-gold-plates.jpeg

Just loved this.  Yes, it could be holiday,  but also, a beautiful centerpiece for the entire winter season, using some of my favorites, like creamy white magnolias.  The French Garden House proprietor did an easy tutorial on how to pull together the faux elements--

She used an antique ironstone bowl and plate she had, faux sprigs with orange pomander balls (love those too), big faux magnolia blossoms, large faux Provence orange and magnolia stems with berries...

She considered filling in with eucalyptus and/or other greens, but felt that what she had looked "luxuriant" enough in the bowl, and I have to agree--

The pretty white swan embroidered napkins, and delicate gilded glasses and plates, add little grace notes.

Re: FRENCH COUNTRY TABLESCAPE

The different elements all combine beautifully to make a lovely table.

The embroidered swan napkins would add taste and elegance to any setting.

Thank you for another exceptional post Oznell.

Re: FRENCH COUNTRY TABLESCAPE

What a lovely and unusual table.  I could picture the average person trying to imitate this setting.  I think I could handle putting some cloves into the oranges.

That's what I like about it too, @PamfromCT --  it's attainable.  There are endless variations you could work, including subbing out real oranges for faux, real florals or branches for faux, different berries, etc.

And most people have a suitable bowl or two.  Ceramic, metal, wood.  I was thinking that if I ever did that, my large Belleek bowl would be a good candidate...
