@Thundar If you're curious, you can ask Google, "what year was Easter on (give the date)".
I just checked my son's birthdate, April 18th, because I can remember doing an Easter birthday party when he was young. It would have been 1976. There were quite a few years since then.

Had another thought -
If you know her love language - plan with that in mind so she feels extra special (affection, words of affirmation, quality time, acts of service, gifts).
Something else to consider to tailor it to her is what type she is
(light-hearted, sentimental, activity driven or intellectual).
For example:
- if her love language is words of affirmation & she's sentimental, have everyone (even those not going to be there) write her a letter or notes that she can read later (divide up to equal 88 - ie 11 people write 8 things they love/appreciate/admire about her).

@ThinkingOutLoud Your thought ideas are fantastic!
I'm going to hire you as a party planner for my mother's 100th B-Day party next year. Do you take bit-coin cryptocurrency?

@Tori3569 I saw on line that somehow you can color the white outside of eggs with a color! What I saw were several pastel colored develed eggs, it was pretty!

What a thoughtful daughter you are!
I wonder if you could ask all attendees (and maybe some people who cannot attend) to write a short letter to your Mom about happy memories they shared and how much she has meant to them.
You would need them in advance, and it would be especially sweet if people could include a picture or two of past happy times. I can bet your mother would treasure this. Later on, you could include some pictures of her happy day.

So what does your mom enjoy--that would give me clues as to what to plan. The bunny ears---not when I'm 88, that's for sure. Also is she able to stand all the hoopla or even want it? How's her stamina? Lots to consider.

Hi! Yes, she is looking forward to her birthday being on Easter. She likes eating and trying new things. She likes pretty decorations and that maybe this means spring is almost here. It will be an inside party as we live up north where we get a lot of winter. She has a bad hip but otherwise very healthy. Thank you!
