....you search for an item at least 10 years old and it doesn't come up unless it's sold out!  

My guess is it sold out years ago.

I had been looking for a set of Christmas salad plates that Dillards sold 10 years ago! 

On Replacements, there and gone!

Has anyone else come up "0"?

Try e-bay.  They have just about anything...sometimes you have to look for a while, but eventually what you want will show up.

@ECBG You probably already know this, but if you ask, Replacements will search for particular items for you and notify you if they locate them.

@ECBG - There are some pretty good sleuths here in the forums; if you're able to post a picture or a pattern name or other descriptive details, it's possible you could get a helpful lead on some other sources for finding your plates.
