Re: Do You Remove The Batteries Before....

I always remove batteries....my husband would have a fit it I did not...they could corrode while being stored.

Re: Do You Remove The Batteries Before....

I remove the batteries when I pack up after the holiday. Most are getting weak as I decorate early but if they are still working well I'll use them in a candle or an everyday decor piece.

Take them out.  If left in they will eventually corrode the contacts in the battery box.  You should not keep batteries inside a product that is not going to be used for a long period of time

I forgot to remove the batteries in a light-up snowman one year and they leaked all over the tote....

My DH removes the batteries but places them in the box so we have them to at least start out the next season.

Re: Do You Remove The Batteries Before....

Thanks everyone for reminding me. This is the first time I have had battery powered lights. I just pulled them back out to get the batteries.
