We quit ice icicles on our tree years ago.

The pup's tail would knock them off.

Walmart is carrying a more realistic version!

We always had the ones that were aluminum strips.  It was dad's job to put them on the tree which he did with military precision.  The rest of us hated putting them on so his participation was a good thing.

I haven't seen those icicles in a store for years.  Yes, the dog's tail always got them.

Yes, we always did.  The flimsy box of them.  My grandparents had some white plastic ones, must have come out in the 50's.  I still use them.  I always liked them on the tree.

Hadn't thought of tree icicles for years.  They were always my job when I was a teen and it took forever to put them on bit by bit by bit.  When I moved out when I was 20 and had my first tree, I gave up on icicles and haven't missed them since

I have a memory of using them only one time. I must have been around 5 years old, early 1980s.

I had a ball throwing them on the tree.  I know my mom thought it was too messy and we never did it again.

No, they hide all my beautiful ornaments which I dearly love.  My ornaments are the real reason I still make the effort to do the tree.  It gets harder every year.  Hoping for this year as I bought some special to me ornaments the other day.

I thought tinsel went out in the 1980s.  They are a pain to put on and a pain to take off.  We have some glass icicles that I bought years ago and still use them.

I only have a couple little trees and haven't used them in years even when I had a larger tree. I have cats and they'd  pull them off and chew on them.

Grew up with icicles on the tree for sure! Now, haven't used them in many years.

These are the ones I grew up with.  Used them when I first  left home and had own trees but have not used in years.  Messy but I always loved the look.
