Didn't enjoy the fast & furious approach on VPH shows yesterday...

I liked Dan Hughes in the morning with Valerie, but Jen and Rick were not very enjoyable. It probably wasn't their fault because they had to present too many products in each show. They both were a nervous wreck.

I was looking forward to "Rick St Nick" and he was jumping all over the place and talking so fast. QVC tried to put too many items in one show and not only made it difficult for the Host, but for those of us that were looking for a relaxing presentation.

He even had to tell Valerie to "close out the show" in the last few minutes because he had to get into pajamas for the next show with Shawn....

i enjoy the fast paced, up and down, unpredictable shows.

i lose interest on one monitone and the same stuff repeated over and over.

more product shown the better for me.

i don't need them to tell me 100 ways to display something.

i don't need the color story over and over.

more product shown the better for me.

move along and let me shop!!

I watched Jen yesterday with Valarie and I thought she did just fine.  I normally like Rick with her too but I saw the other thread about how hyper he was last night.  I didn't watch as I was immersed in Virgin River.........all in all I wasn't buying but did see some cute stuff in her show and pretty much enjoyed it.

Actually, Rick's show with Valerie was my favorite.  I tend to lose interest in Dan's slower, folksy story-telling delivery.

But overall, I think all the hosts yesterday did the best they could.  It's just a matter of preference.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. I do not like the "selling like your pants are on fire" approach. And I'll go out on a limb and say I don't think Valerie enjoyed it very much either. I mean, come on. The two times I flipped over to QVC when Rick was hosting, he was trying to talk so fast that all he was doing was stuttering...so frenetic he couldn't even get the words out!!! 😲😲😲  Not enjoyable.

I watched a little last night.  Valerie seemed tired - too tired to slow down the runaway train that was Rick and Shawn.  She just smiled wanly and shook her head a lot.

Maybe she was tired.....or maybe she was tired of it.

Rick knows full well he's hyper.  At the beginning of their show, Valerie was teasing him that she was pumped up with coffee and he would have to calm her down.  He admitted that he was the last person to do that!😄

I really enjoyed  their show. also enjoyed the pajama show with Rick and Shawn, and I normally can't stand her, with her glasses falling off her nose and her hair a disaster. It was light and fun.

I agree, @pupwhipped .  I can't watch Rick. Never could.  And that's regardless of whether he's sharing duties with another host. I know he works hard and is prepared. But to me, his manner is too frenetic, hyper, and hucksteriish -- and it's outright jarring when he's paired with Valerie, whose calming presence is the antithesis of his, particularly when he nervously repeats everything she says.  To each his own.
