Re: Delivery People Appreciation at Thanksgiving

@Sooner - Your post is very clever, and it is all too true, especially for FedEx in my area; you should have seen the insanity today with one of their giant trucks driving BACKWARD at an extreme rate of speed through my neighborhood. Yikes.

But that said, this week and next week are actually when I put out treats for couriers to say "thank you" for a great year. It is always my goal to not have anything delivered between December 10 and December 26, and I seem to be on schedule to achieve that goal again this year. I know they're just doing their jobs and the holiday rush is expected, but there's no need for me to contribute the craziness.  Smiley Happy

@loriqvc OH NO!!!  Backwards???  They go up and down our street back and forth during the day. The others come by, one and done.  FedEx is clueless--no route as such apparently.

What a disappointment.

@DSD2 Don't be disappointed.  It was for a laugh.

Re: Delivery People Appreciation at Thanksgiving

We order a lot from Amazon about 20% of the drivers follow the instructions. Some leave it on the chair on the porch, One left it in the grass outside our building, others delivery next door. I know my mail man but not the days he works. I no longer know who our Fed ex or UPS guys are

Stop being afraid of what could go wrong and start being positive what could go right.

The florist delivery person left my poinsettia on my front porch. He rang the  doorbell so I was able to bring it in right away. This is a very busy time for them and I always appreciate their thoughtfulness.

Re: Delivery People Appreciation at Thanksgiving

The Tuesday before Thanksgiving, I had nine deliveries from USPS, FedEx, UPS, and Amazon scheduled to come.

No,I did not invite them for Thanksgiving, but I gave each a treat bag with a Mrs. Prindables apple, protein bar, individually packaged cookies, individually wrapped candy pieces, small bags of locally made pretzels, and bottled water.

I have been doing this for about 8 years. I used to give treats closer to Christmas, but now Thanksgiving seems more fitting. The men and women seem to appreciate it.
