@CAMOGIRL wrote:Not a real big Christmas In July fan.... BUT, must admit it does get you thinking on what you need or want this year to refresh or replace what you already have.
It does seem by the time October rolls around, there is always something you MUST have, doesn't it? Yep!!! 🎄
I swear that every year, I'm not buying another thing for Christmas decorating. I have enough to decorate five houses.
Yet somehow, these packages show up at my door beginning in July.
I don't really know how it is happening, but when I find out who's doing it, she is gonna be in big trouble!

@Meowingkitty wrote:Our Christmas shopping is done. My husband and I talked about it the other night. So far this year we put in pavers, added a pergola, new windows and 2 bathroom remodels. We aren't buying gifts this year. Merry Christmas, happy birthday, happy anniversary and any other occasion. Kinda of liberating.
And has to feel really great to get so many projects done. Bet the house looks great!

As I have matured, gotten wiser, gotten older--take your pick-- I have realized I don't need as much as I thought I had to have. And that certainly included anything Christmas. Christmas is my favorite holiday for many reasons and I love to decorate. My husband worried about me because last year I started getting rid of some of my 300+ snowmen and other items that I didn't think I'd ever part with. Downsizing I guess you would say. However, I do enjoying perusing the shows, seeing what is new and trending, everything is so colorful. But, with CIJ, as curious as I am to see new items, by the time the season comes, I'm bored or uninterested with most of the line up. Occasionally I will purchase something during CIJ but not too often. If nothing else it is a pleasant diversion.

I wasn't even aware of this line. Q does a poor job of bringing to the air, many of the lines they offer and it would be refreshing to see new items.
I searched them, and lots of hanging baskets but not such great reviews.
These (in the link below) are cute though, but in general this line looks overpriced for the quality and probably why they don't put it on air. Q seems to be looking at the $20 price point (well, that used to be it, but it is going to $50 more all the time) for most of their choices to bring on air.
@Mominohio Zulily's like items are much better priced than this line.

@Gardengal55 Did you donate or sell your snowmen?

Hi mousiegirl-- just got back home. For the most part I have started given my snowmen away to friends or fundraisers--chinese auctions, etc. I am keeping my better ones--Lenox, PM, Studio 56 and ones that have sentimental value. I actually did sell about 20 of them to a local wine store last Christmas. The manager wanted some rustic decorations and I had snowmen to fit the bill. Was sort sad to see them go!

Hard to believe we'll soon be talking about ornaments, trees, picks, and candles!

I am getting excited for CIJ. I saw some new holiday CIJ items listed this week. Nothing I had to have. Looking forward to seeing new items.

@Gardengal55 So far, I havn't been able to part with anything I bought re Christmas, my favorite time of year. I have a collection of snowmen, small in comparison to yours, but then I have many collections of many Christmas items, lol, just call me a pack rat. I think my poor DD will have to deal with it all, either keep or do what she will, unless one day I become incredibly strong and determined.
I hope your wine store snowmen didn't imbibe too much.

If I buy anything this year, I am going to have no room for items I've purchased in the past two years. Like that'll stop me, though. Can we get items that levitate, please?
