Re: Christmas in July 2021 Kick-off — June 26/27

Thank you so much for the posting.  I see lots of people complaining about this but honestly Christmas in July makes me so happy.  It's nice because you can be excited about the holiday season but also enjoying the warmth of summer.

I don't get how showing Christmas in July will ruin the summer season. People act like it will cause the warm temperature to take a plunge and they will have to start wearing sweaters and coats. I can never understand why Christmas in July makes some people  unhappy.

I love Christmas in July because I can shop without the pressure of a deadline. I can take my time and buy presents and decor early so when Christmas does roll around I can relax and enjoy the season without having to deal with crowds at the stores. I can't wait, I have my list ready!

Me too!  I love watching QVC's Christmas in July.   It's become a tradition in my house, and kicks off my Christmas shopping for the season.

Re: Christmas in July 2021 Kick-off — June 26/27

I'll chime in --

First, perhaps the nay-sayers should start a 'bah - humbug' forum where they can openly share their hatred of Christmas without bothering those of us who love, I mean LOVE all things Christmas.  We promise not to join their forum and preach about the wonders of the season.

Next, I suspect things will sell out in record time during CIJ on the Q.  In my neighborhood stores (like TJ Maxx and Home Goods), people are frantically buying anything they can get their hands on.  The lines at check-out are long and the shelves practically empty on a daily basis.  In other words, if you don't buy early during CIJ, you might not be able to get it later.

I've been checking my Christmas decor inventory, and I don't need anything so I don't plan to purchase -- but I'll definitely be watching.

Finally a confession:  While testing a string of Santa's Best lights, they were so beautiful I draped them over my bookcase.  Yes, in the middle of June I'm enjoying Christmas lights at night in my bedroom.

Sue me!

@Beauty Maven   Love your post. I totally agree.

I was in HomeGoods today and there were at least 35 people in front of me.....the lines move fast, though. I think this CIJ will be one of the most successful for the Q.

I am really looking forward to the Christmas shows!  I'm thinking of putting my five foot Valerie tree in my sitting room outfitted with crystal ornaments...........Smiley Wink

@Beauty Maven   I have a 3' white birch tree with white twinkle lights that I bought from QVC 2 years ago. I put it on my screen porch when I received it and it has remained there ever since. it looks so pretty twinkling away. Like you I may not buy anything this year but I'll watch. Then again I may find something that has my name on it.

@50Mickey   That sounds so pretty. I would also leave it up.

@Regal Bee -- I agree with you that QVC will have a successful Christmas in July, continuing all the way through the season.  I just hope they can fulfill all the orders.  Last year's advance orders were shaky at best, and the supply lines are still not 100%.

I'd love to see your crystal ornaments.  Don't forget to post a picture!!

@50Mickey -- I have the brown birch trees.  I think I'm going to put them up for Fall.  I love them.  You're right -- they're great year-round decor.  Enjoy!
