***Edited to add: The 10 pics are within the 1st 2 pages of this thread. I posted them one at a time. I was afraid if I posted them all at once they would be hard to load when opening the thread
Even with all the set-up ideas I had I my head for months, I made unexpected changes during the last few weeks that included several new vintage pieces bought on Ebay that included 3 vintage bottle brush trees from the 1950's (one is even a music box that plays 'Silent Night') and a boy's choir music box.
I even bought a few lots (and a few small groups) of vintage glass ornaments, vintage glass beaded garlands and vintage tree topper for the tree. The pieces range in age from the 1930's - early 1980's. The bulk of the pieces are from the 1940's - 1960's.
The ornaments included Shiny Brite, made in US of A, Poland, Germany, East Germany, West Germany, Austria, Japan, Made in USA, and Czechoslovakia.
I'm sure there are many families who are lucky to still have several old vintage tree ornaments. The few ornaments my folks still had from back then all broke during transit from Connecticut to Florida on a train when they retired in the early 1980's (which included grandparents ornaments too).
The ornaments I have been putting on our tree for 17 yrs are those I aquired when I was still single, those of my parents that were not glass...handmade at church socials, and those that they collected over many years.
This is the 1st year I put none of them on...and no picks either...only vintage glass ornaments/garland and the vintage tinsel tree topper with white and colored lights. It's kinda sad I broke a tradition of sorts, but very refreshing to see new decor on the tree.

This pic shows 2 of 3 vintage bottle brush trees. The one on the left is the music box that plays 'Silent Night'. In the middle is the ceramic tree my aunt made for me in the early 1980's and in front is the vintage Boy's Choir music box also from the 1950's...

Can't wait to see more of these awesome pieces. We've been paring down since kids are grown and gone. There's really not many to appreciate our efforts. You look like you have fun decorating.

The fiber optic tree I have been displaying for a few years now, but this is the 1st time I put it on top of the Duraflame heater. It's a great memory for DH whose grandparents always had one. I've become very fond of it

@Susan Louise I zoomed the large tree to see the vintage ornaments and there are some gorgeous ones. I'm baking cookies but will spend more time looking at the special ornaments tonight.
I always love your decorated home and especially the kitchen. You know how to make a home festive as well as beautiful, my friend.
