I was the remote control, only had 3 channels and went off air after the late news.  We still have a tv like in the pics.

I remember Christmases like that.  Gathered in the living room, watching Christmas specials on TV.  The glow of the Christmas tree.

I really loved the Christmas variety shows too.  Bing, Perry Como, Andy Williams.  Enjoyed the music and guests.  Nice family holiday shows - there were plenty of specials.
