@Nevadablue

I agree about the endless beauty, fashion, jewelry, shoes and handbags. It is terrible this time of year.

What I don't get is now that they have three channels, one just for beauty, why do have to see the same category of things on Q and Q2 at THE SAME TIME?

I often turn on Q and see fashion, so I turn on Q2.....and see....FASHION!

What is the purpose of so many channels if they don't show different things on them? If fashion is on one, home or garden or electronics ought to be on the other. What I really 'love' is when I see Susan Graver on both channels! Ugh!

Last year they did a lot of CIJ programming the entire month of July. I'm hoping they have just as much or more of the same this year!

I gave up QVC as a source of entertainment long ago, so I only notice when posters here tell me an interesting home show will be on.  I'll be curious to see how CIJ works for me since I no longer have cable.  Also, I made a major decor purchase recently so my decor budget is miniscule for CIJ this year.

The beauty items and clothes must really sell and make a profit for QVC, otherwise I guess they would sell something else. But I just can't watch those shows! Over the course of the years I have ordered a few articles of clothing, and they never fit me correctly (I'm short). David's and Mary's kitchen shows are great entertainment, but the new and surprising items are few and far between.  I'm really looking forward to CIJ! Last year's was a tad underwhelming, I thought. But, the Christmas feel was certainly there. I sure wish they would do more nostalgic items and less mercury glass.

Why would anyone watch a shopping channel if she wasn't interested in any of the merchandise?  I don't understand that, there are entertainment stations on my tv.  I think everyone has them.  I love everything about Christmas but CIJ doesn't do much for me.  I don't jump into Christmas the week before Halloween like some people do now.  And there won't be any shortage of Christmas things for sale when the season actually gets here.   I do occasionally pick up an item or two after Christmas but I always forget I have them.  I remember when all he dept stores did CIJ and when I was kid, my mom always prepared a big turkey dinner on 7/25.  CIJ seems to have died out everywhere except QVC (and perhaps HSN?) but it's not nearly as big as it once was.
