I ordered the tree too. I have the woodland flocked tree from last year but it as really messy. This one seemed to shed less. I should probably cancel as the tree is havy and s/h is expensive!

Just an observation. While many of VPH's older items received full presentations, 2 of her newest items did not receive presentations. Her new Mercury Glass Trees (H208700) and the new Swirl Finials (H208791) were shown in the background and had their item numbers referenced, but they were never given individual presentations. I wonder if the reason that the MG trees weren't showcased was because it was obvious that when the studio lights went down, only the bottom half of the trees were lit because of the light source- the tea light in the base. Also, I noticed that very few of the swirl finials were showcased around the set and barely referenced. I wonder if this delicate, glass design didn't ship so well...Anyone else think this was odd?

You may well be right. However, sometimes an item isn't shown if it is selling really well without being shown or if there are plans to feature it in a later show like those scheduled for the CIJ weekend.

@Marsha2003 Good point. I noticed that she didn't present the new, oversized snowman and woman. I wondered if a lot of this stuff may just have been brought in to use as set dressing.

You may be on to something there!
It was odd (what ever the reasoning) that they had so many things that were just referenced, but not shown. It often seemed like some kind of race. Showing the TSV, while referencing several other items quickly to go on or with them, and I noticed my mom (who only orders by phone never used a computer) was constantly confused by the graphics on the screen. Showing one thing, referencing others in the little box on the left, had her assuming the price of the referenced items were the price of the item actually being presented or shown. In general I thought there were time that the whole thing was confusing, and some kind of weird new way they are presenting.
I personally don't think the TSV went over as big as they had anticipated/hoped for.
At that price point and the popularity of CIJ, I expected (and I bet they did too) them to sell upwards of 125,000 with several colors gone by mid day. But the last time I saw a presentation toward evening, it was still under 100,000. Anyone know the final sale total given near the end of the night?

@Mominohio The last tally I heard for the TSV was 90,000. The only color that I noticed that sold out was blue, and that wasn't too early in the day. I guess we'll be seeing plenty of these pedestals 'As Is' pretty soon. It was very strange how they kept popping up the little boxes with the suggested items. I can understand how your mom was getting confused. Her shows, particularly the one with Shawn, were very rushed. Part of the enjoyment of Valerie's shows is how calm and pleasant she is, so these shows felt a little forced. Also, she had a bit of a breakdown with Jane over her mom, and I held my breath, because it seemed like she was on the verge of breaking down again with Jill. It was quite a different, dramatic day.

@RazorSharp @Marsha2003 They will probably be presented when she returns. I think yesterday was mainly to get rid of the leftovers, and TSV arranged to get people to watch as with not much new, there wouldn't be much of an audience.

I did see her get emotional during the show with Jane. That caller said just the right things, and I can only imagine how hard this is for her right now. She is going through "the firsts". This is her first CIJ without her mom and I'm sure she is dreading the holidays on some level deep inside this year.
I was afraid she was going to have to leave the presentation for a moment, but she pulled herself together, barely.
Of all the various hosts and vendors that have been with Q a long time and that I enjoy watching, I do believe that Valerie is what we see on air. I think she is a very kind, calm gracious and giving woman, and I have to admit, I shed a tear with her yesterday.

@mousiegirl Valeriie won't even have to present the MG trees, because 3 out of 5 of the colors sold out without a presentation. Silver and gold are the only ones left.
