The only thing I toyed with getting, Jill mentioned but they didn't present.  It was the stocking holdings that came in I think snowflakes and x-mas trees.  I wanted the trees.  There weren't many reviews though and some were bad so I'm waiting.

I know someone who ordered them so I'm going to wait and check her's out before I take the plunge.  I loved them and I have no thought that I'd be able to jam a stocking full and hang them from it but I want to be able to hang an unfilled stocking and some reviews said you couldn't even do that.

@lucymo Greetings from the Caribbean!  I'm a little nervous that we're not going to

get more upscale items.  I'm totally fine with a mix of lit vs. unlit and traditional vs.  contemporary, but it seems like there was a big push to go back to more traditional this year, and I hope it doesn't go exclusively that way.  I'm going to keep my eye on what pops up in the new YHK which I think starts at 5PM Eastern time (2PM Specific) Man Wink

@RazorSharp  Well, first off I want to wish you a fabulously fun time on your vacation.

We can still hope for some upscale pieces for some of us who are moving away from the whimical stuff. Of cours  I still like to throw in a piece or two just to get peoples attention.  lol

Enjoy Jill's show.  I'm having dinner guest so won't be watching.  I'll check online to see what she presented in the show.

Re: CIJ PURCHASES

[ Edited ]

I managed to watch quite a bit of YHJ last night.

Did anyone order the H208686 Kringle Express character finials?

I did like the tree version when I saw it on the set.  I thought it was different and proportioned well.  Then I noticed, on two different trees on the set, that the light strand inside laid over to one side, so it didn't light up the ornament or the tree in their centers, as it should.  That was disappointing to see.

During the presentation of the H206209 bay leaf wreaths and garlands, I was reminded of how I had to return the champagne garland that I bought last year.  It was so pretty in my opinion, but the bay leaf branches were just breaking off everywhere, breaking in half, and there were bald spots on the leaves where the glitter had peeled off.

It would be nice if quality was a consideration--not just "cute" or "pretty"

Still waiting on H205999 sequined berry picks:

10-Piece Sequined Berry Decorative Clips - H205999

Just ordered H207156 Ed on Air Vintage Ornament Set.  It's been in my wish list all along, and dropped in price quite a bit, plus free shipping.

@SHOPR  I didn't get to see much of Jill's show just about the last half hour.  I wasn't tempted by anything except  I do love to use picks so I got those.  I probably have enough for the whole neighborhood as I was lucky to find several kinds in 'as is'.  I'll still get more of the sequined berry picks if they show up in 'as is' but I don't think the chances are that good since they seem to be clearing them out.

ITA, we do need better quality on the products.  I get tired of trying to turn items so the pieces look better and have started to return them instead.

I am trying SO hard not to buy anything. I am taking my son on vacation at the beginning of August and I need to save every penny.

Definitely have some stuff on my wish list but once we get back from vacation my other son wants to go to the beach for a weekend before school starts so it looks like my CIJ shopping will have to wait until at least Sept.  Smiley Sad

Waiting is just so hard. I LOVE CHRISTMAS.

@RazorSharp  Yes, I wish I lived in that 'Specific' time zone then maybe I could stay awake until the end of some of these shows.  Woman LOL

So, are you seeing anything that you just have to have?  I'm seeing the sale prices on a few of last years offerings to be more attractive than anything new so far.

@lucymo I didn't like anything in YHJ, but I must have the new Luninara snowflake pillars in silver snowflake and white. I found these white candle rings to use them in a display on a large mirror on my white Duraflame fireplace with 2 sets of the white sequined glitter trees, H203513.  Here are the candle rings:
