I enjoy the CIJ specials and usually do some early shopping and decorating purchases. I was disappointed with the ordering problems and the lack of new items, variety and deals. All I purchased were two Peanuts throws and the JR jumbo eggs. I didn't see too many multiple gift items or gifts for guys. I would have loved to have seen some fashion items as gifts I also thought that the time on the TSV was longer than ever. I turn the channel off when it starts to repeat. I'm glad that others enjoyed it and found some items.

Fortunately for me, I can find a wide variety of excellent products locally.
I know not everyone is close to great retail.
I purchased nothing.
Last year, I made 1 purchase

Awww- I'm sorry you were disappointed. I know it stinks when we look forward to something and it ends up being below our expectations.
I personally wasn't disappointed at all. I made one purchase, but there were a few things that I really wanted. Unfortunately, I just don't have the funds for all of those things right now.
I do agree with you on the TSV presentations being too long though. Too many presentations of the same thing that were much too lengthy. I feel they could have spaced them out or shortened the time on those a bit.
As another poster said, I live near great retail as well (Long Island). I have everything at my disposal, but sometimes I find things during CIJ that I can't really find anywhere else for that particular pricepoint. We just had a Hobby Lobby open up near us and I was able to do a bit of comparison shopping since they have a lot of Christmas stuff out already. Some items were very similar to what was presented, so I know I won't be purchasing certain things from the Q. However, there are other items that pale in comparison to what QVC had. I guess it can be hit or miss.
I'm sorry you were disappointed. Maybe the programming will be better as we get closer to the holiday shopping season.

Yes, it was a letdown but my wallet is lighter.

I was much more pleased this year than the last couple.
I saw much more new merchandise and especially great Valerie shows.
I think people assume that CIJ is going to be about gifts, but really, very little of it is. It is more about home decor with a few gifty things thrown in.
From Sept. on, there will be lots of shows like you are looking for @Fressa, fashion and things directly aimed at gifting.
I, too, am sorry you were disappointed. I felt that way a couple of years. So look forward to the event, then it doesn't meet expectations.
I also agree that some of these TSV presentations are crazy long. Like the gift bags. There is only so much you can say about a drawstring gift bag. Beating it to death for 20 minutes every other hour is boring.

I bought one item. The Lenox small 5 piece ornament set for $18+. What a steal! So worth that at least.
Some years, there's so much I can't decide. My wallet is happier too though.

Once they started spreading CIJ throughout the month rather than confining it to one weekend, it lost much of its charm for me. I thought Valerie brought some lovely items this year, but I wasn't in the market for those particular styles and colors and the prices are getting to be too high for me. I think QVC should offer shipping discounts for multiple quantities of holiday decor items as most of us would buy more than one of many of the offerings.

I so agree with you. QVC is missing an opportunity. I don't like the trend with Valerie of having so many MG items and running them into the ground.

I enjoy watching the CIJ shows and getting decorating ideas. Had no intention of
buying anything, especially anything seasonal, but I did purchase the Kaleidoscope Star H211557. A couple of Valeries item interested me, but I found & purchased similar items somewhere else.
I wasn't disappointed in CIJ, except for the shipping. As I stated before,I was interested in updating my b/o outside lights and would need multiply sets, but paying $5.50 per set for shipping wasn't going to happen. Q lost my business there.
Looking forward to some falls shows, but once again I'll just be window shopping.
I have containers and containers on top of containers of full of stuff.

I thought it was better than last year. I found several pretty things to send to my children and buy for gifts. The funny thing is, one item was just restocked from last year's sellout, and some others were already being offered several months previous. The Luminara votive ornaments got to me. I LOVE them. I know changing the batteries will get old, but I'm giving some to my children, so they can have fun changing batteries too. I was a bit disappointed with the Mrs. Prindable's offerings. The latest ship date seemed early (Dec. 4), and I just can't find the pack-up that my daughter needs for all her teacher gifts.
