Just started calculating how many batteries I'd need to do my Fall decorating🤦‍♀️ 

I usually buy a 48 pack from Sams of Energizers ($19.99) and saw Lowe's has 60 pack of RayOVac for $21.  I've not used this brand -- has anyone used them & do they last.

I stopped buying Duracell as it seemed they died or leaked and I ruined a few of my pieces.

I have used them they are just as good as Energizers heck I have used Family Dollar store brand batteries LOL They work but don't last long but only cost me buck.

I get mine from Dollar Tree or 99¢ Only stores

I tested Energizer, Duracell, and Rayovac twice each on two 9 inch Luminara candles.

Energizer lasted 6 weeks with the candle turned on 24 hours a day.  

Duracell about 5 1/2 weeks.  

Rayovac 5 weeks.  

Results were consistently the same.  

I realize most don't let their candles on 24 hours a day, but this should give you an idea which brand lasts longer.  The Energizer bunny wins.

When I did buy batteries I found the Energizer to last longer over rayovac

and duracell just didn't last as long as those or seemed to not work at all on a few I had.

Now, I no longer buy batteries.

I invested in rechargeable batteries and a battery charger and just charge them up when they need it.

I don't know why everyone doesn't do this. You never have to buy batteries again.

I have not had good luck with Ray O Vac batteries. They don't last and have a tendacy to leak. I use Energizer or Pro Cell (sold at a Batteries Plus store). I also used a brand called Werker and they  worked well. All lasted for months and no leaking.

I avoid Kirkland batteries from Costco now. One of my battery-powered devices would quit. I'd open it up and find the Kirkland batteries leaked. A mess to clean up, not to mention damage to devices!

I go with Energizer these days. A few dollars more than Kirkland, but worth it!

  I have battery operated candles in all my windows that are timed for 8 hours on and then shut off.

  Every year, in fall  the day after we change the clocks back one hour, I put batteries in my window candles and set them to the auto 8 hour on/off.  I keep the candles in the windows  until the batteries die.  The Energizers last from early Nov. straight through until early August.  RayOVac NEVER last that long.  I have used Costco batteries that last about the same as the Energizers.  And, believe it or not, Wegmans brand batteries last just as long as the Energizers.
