I LOVE this teal/aqua pedestal/candle ring set up. I thought about getting it too but I really don't have a spot for teal/aqua other than the bathroom & there is no room in there at this point.

I JUST got the RED candle rings though. Very, very nice IMO. I haven't figured out what to do with them yet, I just liked them.

@DarlingDino

I'm tempted to get these pedestals in red (& green & brown & gold & silver...LOL) but I think I remember square ones. I might like those too if they ever come back again.

Does anyone have square pedestals?

@ChiliPepper  I have the square in chocolate, green, red, champagne, and lavender.  I have the round in red and green.  They are all wonderful. Smiley Happy

@mousiegirl

Thanks, all the colors sound great! I'm afraid I'll do what you did & want one of every one LOL!!!!!

@ChiliPepper

I have the square pedestals. I like them a lot. They are 'beefier' than the newer ones because of the shape. I find them less elegant, and more suited to things in a more casual or modern type setting. The round ones with the ribbing, are just more elegant and have more curves and refinement in my opinion.

And the whole pedestal thing gets kind of out of control with both shapes and all the colors, so for me, it has worked well to have just brown ones. They tend to be a neutral to go with everything I put on them (think wood as being a neutral kind of pedestal), I find they work well all year long with various rings and candle changes, and saves me from having so many in colors that are (in my decor anyway) suited to only one season or only the colors in certain room's decors. These easily transfer to any room's decor and any season or candle colors/rings I use.

Hope that helps some.

 @Mominohio

Yes, that makes a lot of sense. I know me, I know I'm gonna want one I've every color if I get started LOL!

I was thinking of starting with the brown & red but then I remember the candle holders I've gotten recently: the antiqued, the owls, the pine cones.

I'm leaning towards the square ones but I wanted to wait to see them.

Thanks for your insight!

@lucymo One more thing, I just watched a video of hers called reindeer in the forest, I remember that one cause she repeats reindeer in the forest about four or five times during the video. so if you type that title in you will probably find her channel

@DarlingDino, Thanks so much for the above information about YouTube videos.  I hope to look for these when I have a little more time.  I can use all the help I can get.

Also, thanks for sharing your decorations.  I see several things that we both own from QVC, and you have given me a few ideas.  :-)  Very nice!

I like how you added a red berry ring to the top of your white round lantern.  I would not have thought to try that.  I have the same lantern from Pier1.  It's such a cute, well-made little thing, isn't it?

@SHOPR Hello you are welcome for the information on you tube and me sharing the photos, I am glad to help and share info. Yes I really like that little lanturn. Really funny you saw that I put a candle ring on top of it! I had those candle rings on my bigger candles and then ordered valeries new set with pinecones and decided to use those instead, I did not want to go upstairs and pack the red ones back up so tryed to fiqure out what to do with the four I had and I tryed to fit one into the lanturn, it would not work so I just put in on top and now I have two on there, one on top of the other. I put the other two on jar candles I have in the kitchen, they did not fit either so I just put then on the top part of the jars. that was me being lazy really and funny you liked it! LOL

@DarlingDino, I say whatever is easy and works, do it.  LOL.

I also now remember @mousiegirl telling me that she decided to use some cascading type candle rings on the tops of her lanterns that she displays on her island, and I thought that was an interesting way to use them.

The most creative I've gotten with a candle ring is putting a fuller cascading one around the middle portion of an old oil lantern like the one below.  I thought it looked pretty good.
