Another vote for Collin Street Bakery fruitcake from Corsicana, Texas (with also a lot of other delicious offerings they have and will mail order).  It is the only fruitcake I'll eat!  Wonderful!

My uncle did.  It was a staple x-mas present for him.

yes but only from Claxton Bakery. My dad and I used to drive from NJ every year to FL the beginning of December.  We spent Christmas with his family there -- anyway way back when we went through Claxton, GA just to buy it! Yum...still think of him everytime I eat a piece!

I used to like fruitcake if it was well made.  Celiac disease took that away.

Anyone like mincemeat pie?  Eewwww.  Now that is awful in my opinion.

The only fruitcake I ever liked was one I made years ago using dried fruit instead of that yucky candied cherry type.  My Mother used to make one so loaded with this stuff,  a no bake cake, I could not stand it.

I don't mind fruitcake. Some are better than others. A former neighbor made one that was delicious. My grandfather's favorite pie was mincemeat, and he was the only one in the family that ate it, so we bought one just for him lol.

I love mincemeat pie.  My grandmother used to make it.  I'm the only one in the family who likes it now, so we never have it.  I would love to find one to buy but never have.
