Re: A few decor pics with Valerie's lanterns, etc.

Really nice. Love to see the way other people display things in there home. To me, it doesn't matter what time of the year. Enjoyed pics. Thanks.

Re: A few decor pics with Valerie's lanterns, etc.

@Mominohio

I have not posted inside pictures yet because it is a "work in progress". Over Christmas break, I took all holiday bins and whatever else back to the shed. It was a chore to dig it all out and get it back there.

Now, I need to sit down and sift through the stuff and organize each season and purge LOTS of things. I think I have at least THREE boxes of greenery! There are things like garlands, wreaths, and who knows what else.

I have a larger Pop It shelf that will probably get moved in there to store the bins.

I think I will put up one of my slim Christmas trees in there and decorate it. I have a small table and chair and I bought a new TV with a dvd player. I hope the cable guys can run the cable out there so I can watch Christmas movies in July on Hallmark!

So, to answer your question, it will be a combo she shed/storage once I can pare down all of the excess and make it neat and accessable.

I get out of school in a few weeks and I can take my time and get it the way I want it. I spent most of the last summer ordering and waiting for the shed, and then waiting for different workmen. This year, I am trying to start early so it does not take up the whole summer.

I want to actually GO somewhere this year! What we do for our decorations!

Re: A few decor pics with Valerie's lanterns, etc.

Thanks all!   I love the bunny lantern too!  Almost wish I'd gotten the brown one too.  I got the white because I have so many brown tones in my fireplace/hearth that I wanted the bunny to stand out a bit.  But then it looked a little odd being the only light piece so I got the off white lantern from Pier 1 to put on the other side.   Then I tied brown ribbon on each to tie them together.

I hope Valerie brings back another bunny like this next year, same color/texture but a different pose.  So they go together but don't match.

Great job!!! LOVE it!!!

I think you are right about the color of the bunny, the brown would just blend it. The off-white stands out but not too, too much because it is a soft, off-white, not a stark white-white.

Perfect choice, I would have picked the same one too!

Thank you ChiliPepper!!   I'm glad you agree about the bunny I chose.   Stark white would've looked out of place, but the off white color of this one plus the finish and texture work pretty well with my other items.  I love my bunny!!  Really well done imo.

That would be a GREAT idea! Maybe a crouching one, similar to the set you have on your table. The lantern could sit next to him because he wouldn't be upright to hold it.

A bunny friend!

Thanks again. I'm very sentimental and treasure all that was my mom's, but I especially love the pieces she made. Smiley Happy
