Went into Michael's today for something and they already had 4th of July items out. Kohl's did too, I just walked through there to get to the other side to go to Michael's and I saw them.

Yes I know that's how retail works, but it still felt bizarre to me. Just had a small snowstorm where I live, and it's been like Winter all week.

That sounds VERY odd to me.  THREE months ahead of time???  Strange!

They may be thinking of Memorial Day as well as the 4th of July.  I decorate red white and blue  few weeks before Memorial Day but all stores do seem to start really early with holiday decorations.

Memorial Day, Flag Day and July 4th. They fall right in a row and all have a patriotic theme.

@Greeneyedlady21 I was recently at Michael's also. The decor seemed to be geared more towards Memorial Day. Like @AuntG stated, a couple weeks after Memorial Day is Flag day. Then, they can rollover to July 4th.

I don't find it all that unusual to have red white and blue items the month prior to Memorial Day.

Michael's is more of a craft store, so you kinda have to plan and buy ahead and get started if you're going to make stuff for a holiday or event.

@cjm61 Please let it get warm out first before we even begin to think of Halloween!  I am so sick of this cold winter like weather!

Re: 4th Of July On April 5th

They had items that specifically said 4th of July on them.

I think of Memorial Day as a somber holiday, so it doesn't occur to me that people buy festive items for that holiday.
