Re: "FEET" ON BAGS

[ Edited ]

I wipe off the outside of my purses with a lysol wipe both the leather and the vinyl ones. It doesn't hurt the leather. My cousin uses one of those wipes at the grocery store AS SHE LEAVES the store to wipe the germs off her bag, instead of trying to wipe off the cart as she enters.

I only like very structured bags. If the bag does not have feet, I pay the shoe repair person $40 to add then. He carries the feetin a few sizes and different metals. The work is meticulous; you would never know.

I like feet but it's not a deal breaker for me.  The feet sometimes add extra weight to the bag.

It doesn't matter to me whether my purses have feet or not. I don't even notice that option when choosing one. My purse is never totally suspended by those itty bitty little feet on the bottom anyway. I'm not that much of a germaphobe so if my purse picks up a few germs, so be it, I'll live  Woman Happy

I have seen very few bags that have feet that keep the bag from coming into contact with the surface that they are resting on. I would never place a bag down on a floor in a public space under any circumstance regardless of the presence of feet on the bag.Feet wont protect it from coming into contact with pathogens.

I would be more concerned about the 'bacteria' on my shoes,

than anything.  More than likely those shoes hit the same floor

the feet on the purse sits on...but with a greater profile.

Wear those shoes inside on your home carpet, place those same

shoes in your closet...bringing them into your personal space

where you spend the most time...and you have more 'bacteria'

floating around from shoes than a small profile on a leather bag.

But many don't place than same worry w/ shoes as

they do w/ that little space on a bag.  Wonder why?
