@grandma2pkmh is right. this is why they came up for sale after september 2001.  it is the only way to bring a purse to many sport events.

Wow, @Foxxee is taking me back! i did have a clear clutch in the 80s (before cellphones) that i would wear in the evenings with a scarf inside dressing up the wallet and lipstick inside.  i had completely forgotten about this!

I can imagine thieves and pickpockets would love it.  It would make targeting your wallet so much easier!  A big NO.

If a transparent bag was required for some venue, I'd take very little in it, disguised as much as possible.  Or I'd stay home.

Belks and Dillards give you an inexpensive transparent bag to carry into and out of the store or you can get a beach bag, as long as you can't conceal anything.
