When Are You Getting Out Your Main Fall Handbag?

I am not a handbag collector, and use a main handbag for during the week, occasionally changing to another bag for a "Girl's lunch.

Our temps are jumping around 75-79 degrees, on an odd day 80 degrees, so we are beginning to drop back.

I am washing all of the white pants and putting them back. The white handbag will follow them. It's too bright with what I am putting together now.

Here in Florida I don't really have seasonal clothing or purses like I did up north. Actually the first time I wore white pants after Labor Day I could almost hear my mom gasping 🫢😅

Sometimes I miss the obvious change of seasons that I'm used to.

I'm not firm on the no white after Labor Day school of thought. As it is still hot and humid, I will probably wait to switch out my white bag sometime in the next few weeks.

Unfortunately, bags were my weakness, although I seldom indulge now unless I find a bargain buy! I use black in the winter but will probably bring out my navy or grey bag in the interim. I have a few more than I need but I always donate them so someone else can enjoy them.

I just ordered my mom a nice Liz Claiborne shoulder bag in a dark brown leather. She loves Liz bags and switches for all seasons at 79yrs young. I on the other hand, will carry the same bag until it falls apart lol.

It still gets in the 90s here, and that can happen at least through September. I'll probably switch around mid-October.

The bag I am carrying now is gray, so it's seasonless. If I don't find a fall bag I love, I might just stick with this one for everyday. I do have a collection of bags and I usually change based on what I need to carry that day.

I do switch my clothes around in my closet/dresser for the season but I won't do that until I'm well into wearing fall clothes everyday. Then I make sure to wash all the summer laundry and switch the drawers around so fall winter are on top, spring summer on the bottom.

I have a new Dooney lizard tote that I am itching to use. So I may switch out after Labor Day. I have been using a Dooney nylon satchel (khaki) for summer and I like it very much, but that new lizard tote is just so pretty!
