Hi KathT, yes they did change the style of the On the Go. I like the newer one better because it's got a large outside zipper and a large inside zipper, but I make do with the older style (no inside zipper) because I love the patterns they came in, like Symphony in Hue, Poppy Fields, and Make me Blush. The opening may be slightly smaller in the older style, but I have no problem getting anything in or out. I use the Vera Zip Around Wallet, and it's no problem. I can even fit my iPhone 4 in either of the two small outside compartments of either bag (although I don't, because I don't feel my phone is secure without a zipper).

Today I'm carrying my On the Go in Rio. I adore that pattern and now that it's retired, I am hoping to get several more pieces.

Trying to respond again, have lost several responses tonight 😞. Sunny, thank you for answering my questions about the new style On The Go. I finally went in to my local VB retailer to check out the new patterns &, be still my heart, they finally had the navy On The Go! The size is not noticeably smaller &, like you, I like the interior zipper pocket. It is definitely on my wish list, since the solid colors are more expensive. BTW, all the new patterns are awesome!

Tonight I switched over to my Mod Floral Pink On The Go. It was a pattern sold by VB between 2007 & 2009. With a brown background, it is a nice transitional pattern. I will be wearing it crossbody while I chase, I mean take, my 21/2 & 5 y.o. grandkids to our children's museum. My Java Blue pieces will also be making an appearance soon.

I am carrying my red microfiber turnlock bag. I love the zipper compartment on the outside back of the bag for car keys and the turnlock pocket on the front is perfect for my iphone. I have two Veras in this style. I want to get the black microfiber as well.

I recently bought a hipster crossbody in Moon Blooms. I find the pattern to be beautiful for fall and winter, since it has some of the darker colors in it, but the bag is a bit too small. I bought it online and misjudged the size of it - but I'm going to give it a try for a couple months before I switch it out for something larger.

This past weekend I brought out my Provencal On the Go with the matching Zip Around Wallet and Brush & Pencil bag. Such a cheery print that goes well with golds, teals & browns. Last week I carried my Marakesh Motifs Little Hipster Crossbody on a preschool field trip to the apple orchard. The Little Hipster Crossbody is really a nice option when you only need a few things & want to be hands free.

I am currently carrying an older pattern Villa Red. We were out of town for the weekend & I packed our things in a travel bag that is smaller than the ones that are available now. It still had sufficient space for a night away & the great organizational pockets offered by VB. I am carrying my Red Villa Villager with an older style wallet-closes with Velcro- & cosmetic bag. I love this pattern for the holidays! What are you carrying now that December has arrived?

I really like my Vera tote in the mini Concerto. A local church had a holiday parking lot event and I gave quite a few of my older Vera's to them and the bags were still in tip top shape. The bags flew out of there to happy new owners.

It would be great if VB came out with seasonal bags: holly berries for December, hearts for Valentine's day etc.

This is the one I have been favoring.
