Re: Whar are absolute deal breakers for a handbag?

Dealbreakers—

fold over flap, too inconvenient

zipper pocket divider drives me crazy!

heavy when empty

cross body strap that is not removable

does not open wide enough

no outside pockets

outside pockets which stick out for water bottle

I don't like too many pockets either.  Can't find anything, and it's a real pain to change bags.

Must be lightweight

Must have 2 or 3 outside & inside pockets

Must be east west

Must have a substantial shoulder strap for comfort with a drop of at least 9 1/2 inches

All I ever carry now is a crossbody.   I like the zipper closure (I don't trust the magnetic ones) and yes, absolutely a cell pocket on the outside, big enough for todays phones!

I have become spoiled by having the interior of my purses neat & tidy so a pursefection has become an absolute necessity for me.

Plus , when you change purses everything is still in the same place in the pursefection so you know exactly where it is.

I just can't tolerate a jumble of stuff on the bottom of a purse.

Must have "feet" on the bottom, and outside pockets, and a light colored lining so I can see into it to find things.  Also, I like large bags so I can carry whatever is necessary to me.

I have to have at least one outside pocket. I prefer leather, but not too heavy, and these days I like a crossbody. The bag can't be too small, but I don't need a big bag anymore. If possible I want the hardware to be white metal.

Re: Whar are absolute deal breakers for a handbag?

I have to have an outside pocket for my keys.  I don't need it for my phone because when I'm out I put my phone on ring&vibrate so if I don't hear it ring, I do feel it vibrate.  I also like to keep a few $1 bills in that outside pocket and a lipstick.  I like medium sized totes but I absolutely must have some organization.  I have to have pockets or dividers; I can't stand bags that are a "black hole" on the inside.  I have to have "feet" on a bag.  I also like a bag that either is expensive (to me) or looks expensive.
