Almost every gift I received, I gave away to someone else whom I might not ordinarily gift. 

I, however, kept the tooth I received after the abutment for my dental implant, front tooth, broke. 

I kept the cell phone I received because my iPhone-5S finally gave up the ghost and I kept the office chair I bought for myself because my 20+-year-old chair broke. 

Otherwise, all the gifts I received from family, neighbor or friends, I gifted to someone who might not ordinarily receive a gift from me or anyone else.

It makes me feel very good to know that I can give up something I like to someone who appreciates it even more than I do.
